Three Months of Beautiful Hay Fever

“FREEDOM!” I cry from my bedroom scarce of all of the books and papers it was cluttered with from the previous day. I have cleaned my whiteboard of its misery, piled up all of the exam papers for the bin and shoved my text books out of sight into the ‘technical’ bookcase (it has the entire household’s technical books in it). This can mean only one thing. SUMMER. Three months of beautiful, well-sought-after hay fever.

I apologise in advance because this post offers nothing of considerable content, as I have only just breathed the fresh air of freedom, and have seldom done anything, simply because doing nothing is something I’m treasuring considerably. Even my math’s teacher walked on by yesterday as I left for home, and said “you’ve got to do one thing now… sleep.”. And he is a wise man, my friends.

This blog post will serve as my letter of intent, if you like, of the oncoming activities of the summer months. (Letter of intent actually has nothing to do with anything; I just like the term.) I have already adopted a beautiful little notepad bought from Liberty London a while back that I’m using down to score down things I need to remember. And have spent my day being thoroughly unproductive, battling the army of spam messages (over 2000 messages) that has clogged up over a few weeks of exam hermitism (again, not a word, but I feel it should be).

My online plans are as follows: sort out my tumblr priorities. My current tumblr isn’t doing it for me, so I’m switching genre (or should I say cult? as tumblr is definitely a cult based medium). I haven’t decided whether to run 2 seperate tumblr accounts (with appropriate secondaries), or whether to delete and start afresh. But I will definitely be creating a random inspiration blog at some point, one way or another. Furthermore, I have a twitter revamp to do, seeing as in my absence they have decided to change layouts and fonts and everything else on the site. And with this site, I don’t want to make anything too official (as if), but I’m definitely considering giving it much more of the attention it deserves when it comes to blogging. I don’t want to detract from the freedom of a personal blog where I can ramble about whatever (like so), but I do want to afford it some seriousness that has been lacking for a while.

Let’s talk offline. In a week or so I’m off to Switzerland for a couple of days. I’m particularly excited about this one because I’m a Sherlock Holmes stories’ lover and the Reichenbach Falls (of which Holmes and Moriarty have a bust up on the top of) was in Switzerland. I watched both The Adventures (with Jeremy Brett) and Game of Shadows (RDJ) very recently, so it perked me up for it. I know, I’m a bit of a dweeb. No matter! (If I’m not back, you’ll know its for the good of Watson!). Then shortly after, to Italy! For food and a coastline like no other. You already know you’ll hear about that down the line.

There is one other type of scheming that I have not mentioned at all, and that’s with regards to the creative side- the making of stuff. I’m talking writing and making films, and stuff like that. I have wanted to do a post on creativity for a while now, because as usual, blogging is usually a fantastic way of resolving thoughts into understandable garble. And I have a lot of unresolved thoughts on this, which will hopefully unravel themselves into something. So I’m holding my horses on updates of this kind to give myself more time to think it over.

Now, onwards. I’ll blog again soon because I have time! I HAVE TIME. It’s insane. I didn’t even remember you could even have this much free time. Let’s hope the weather is swanky. And I really hope that everyone, however they choose to spend it, has a fantastic summer. If you’re working, give yourself a lil’ holiday. You deserve it. Bye, chums. Over and out.

I hope Switzerland and Italy were/are amazing for you! The feeling of summer freedom is always wonderful, so don’t forget to relax along with all the stuff you have planned out to accomplish. 🙂 As for the Tumblr thing, I think two separate accounts would be great if you have two very different points of focus.

I hope you’ll have a fun time in Switzerland and Italy, and for the rest of your summer! I rally want to visit both countries. I’m not going anywhere, but I am moving to another city with a friend in the end of July!
Good luck with revamping and figuring out everything abour your tumblr(s) & blog. I think I have about 5 tumblrs but I only use one as an actual “here is the URL to my tumblr”-tumblr. The rest is just so that I don’t have to scroll through my 199999 likes.
Anyways enjoy and I’m looking forward to reading your blogposts 🙂

Have fun in Switzerland! I’d love to go myself one day. Jeremy Brett was brilliant as Holmes, but RDJ is just that bit better =p Hope Italy is amazing too, it looks so beautiful there. It’s great that you’ve so much to do now that you’re free of exams! I was not happy when I realised twitter had changed their layouts. Mine looks dreadful now. I should take the time to fix it too.
